Splitting holiday time as a married couple can be tough. This is Matt and I's second holiday season as a married couple, and as I get older, I feel less inclined to run around like a chicken with my head cut off. Yet I hate to feel that I'm 'missing' something. It's a catch 22, and since my parents are divorced things can get even more complicated, but we managed to get it all in. I even got Matthew inside a shopping mall on Black Friday, riddle me that! We didn't get enough friend time in, which was totally lame, but hopefully the holiday party season will fix that! Here are some pics from the long holiday, and a vow to start rotating holidays with families in the future! Does anyone else do that??
Happy Monday (groan).

I hear ya! We drive all over Texas every Thanksgiving! Christmas is when I stick close to home! I love that last picture! How precious!?
Ugh, splitting holidays is the worst. We rotate families on thanksgiving (ie, we DONT see one family at all) but Christmas, we see everyone...which makes for traveling ON Christmas Day. But i'd hate to NOT see family on Christmas...
Look at all those cute babes you got to hang out with. Luckily both of our immediate families are near each other but it's a whole nother story for our extendeds.
Zack and I rotate Christmas. One year at my fam's one year at his. We have to since they live in different states- but this makes it the easiest.
Yup, er totally split holidays. I think it's better to give one family 100% every other year than to waste half the day in the car, having to eat too much, and just generally being annoyed. You'll figure it out!
We live far away from both of our families in the winter so we just spend time together! But I think once we have kids I will be voting to spend all of the holiday's at my parents house ;)
I just found your blog for the first time today. I'm looking forward to learning more about you in the new year! xo
