Wanna lose the last 3-5 pounds?

Well I might have the answer for you! it's called 'fat flush soup' by Anne Louise.

I love it because it is
A) its hearty and doesnt leave me starving ie. Pre packaged food
B) its natural and doesnt give me crazy mood swings - ie. Diet pills
c) is actually pretty decent in taste

UPDATE: Ok so here's the deal: eat regular breakfast - something healthy is probably best - then eat the soup for lunch and dinner for three days straight. Eat a good portion too.

DUDE. This stuff WORKS.

Ingredients:

This weekend people kept telling me I looked thin, and of course I was in a little disbelief and scanned the room to make sure they were talking to me, then I said 'wait, come again? are you sure?'
haha. well yea just check out the recipe!
I think over all it took me one hour to get all the stuff from the g - store,
and one hour to make it. Email me if you have any questions!

2012 Fat Flush Soup
2 tsp. olive oil
1 ¼ lbs. lean ground beef, turkey or chopped chicken*
1 large onion, peeled and chopped
1 large red, orange and/or green pepper, seeded and chopped
1 large zucchini or yellow squash, chopped
8 oz. mushrooms, chopped
2 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
1 bottle (46 oz.) reduced-sodium tomato or vegetable cocktail juice
1 can (15 oz.) pinto, garbanzo or black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (14 oz.) crushed tomatoes
1 Tbs. fresh lime juice
1 Tbs. ground cumin
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper, or to taste
1/4 cup each fresh cilantro and parsley leaves, chopped
1: In saucepot over medium-high heat, cook oil 30 sec. or until heated. Add beef, turkey or chicken. Cook 5 min. or until cooked through, stirring occasionally. Remove from skillet; drain, if desired.
2: In same saucepot, cook onions, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms and garlic 5 min. or until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
3: Stir in next 6 ingredients and cooked meat. Add up to 1 cup water to thin soup, if desired. Cover; bring soup just to a simmer (do not let boil). Reduce heat to medium-low. Let simmer 20 min., stirring occasionally. Stir in cilantro and parsley. Cover; let simmer 5 min. more. Garnish with shaved Parmesan cheese, if desired. Soup can be stored up to 5 days in the refrigerator or frozen.
*Or for vegetarian option, omit meat and add another can of beans.
Serving size: 2 to 3 cups (makes 10 to 12 cups)

TAGGGG!!

I had a honeymoon post planned but Miss Kristen tagged me! I’m a dork and have been waiting to be to do an 'about me post' so here it goes:

1. I’m from the Suburbs of Houston

2. I went to the University of Texas, HOOK EM

3. My mom is from Venezuela, and my dad is from Trinidad, which makes me a .. mut. BUT I love that I’m a lil’ bit different. It’s also really fun watching people guess my heritage. It’s practically impossible.

4. I’m OBSESSED with Ms. Britney Spears. I even dressed like her one time.

5. I’m getting Married in about 5 Weeks.

6. Our honeymoon is booked, but I have no idea where we are going.

7. I’m very impulsive. I think at about the age of 22 I realized I had to change my crazy ways if I didn’t want to end up living in a box. Ok that’s drastic. But yea.

8. I’m somewhat cheap.

9. I drink Starbucks almost every day. I realized that my consumption directly correlates with my mood.

10. I have ‘ATX’ in white ink tattoo’ed on my wrist to commemerate the 7 years I spent in Austin, TX. It is hardly visible now.

11. Matt and I did the ‘long distance’ relationship for 2 years.

NOW for the questions::

1. If you could have a super power what would it be?
To stop time!

I'm the ultimate procrastinator - I think about things so much before I take action and sometimes I think "if I just had one more day that could have been ten times better." Or I also find myself saying, If I just had three more hours to sleep I could conquer the world today. To fight this procrastinator habit I tell myself to give myself 3 times more time than I think it will take. I still stress myself out to the max on deadlines.
Bad Tessy, Bad Tessy.

2. If you could invent a new ben&jerry's ice cream flavor what would it be called and what would be in it?

Um. Starbucks low fat kind? The Diet coke kind? Yea I don't like ice cream much but I love me some Fro yo! And I’m clearly addicted to caffeine if you couldn’t tell already.

3. What is the scariest thing you have ever done?
I guess sky dive. But public speaking is way scarier to me so id say giving the benediction prayer at my high school graduation. I wanted to pass out and felt like I had to pee the whole time, and had to sit through oh about 800 people get their name called prior. It was awesome.

4. What does your cellphone cover look like?
I don't have one! I took it off bc it was getting all crusty and shizz and have yet to replace it. But I have dropped my phone three times since I removed this cover, and think It’s about a day away from totally shutting off on me. Seriously, it vibrates when no one is calling. Thing’s gotta mind of it’s own.

5. What is your favorite thing to pin on Pinterest?
Clothes, clothes, clothes. In my former life I swear I was a wealthy shopaholic. Now I just pretend. Thank you pinterest.

6. If you could pack up and move anywhere for an entire year where would you go?
Croatia. I've been dying to visit this gem of city for so long.

Where are you most comfortable?
In my car. I pretty much blast my music and sing at the top of my lungs. I tend to fall in love with one song and listen to it on repeat, thus I never listen to the radio. Then I’m always the last one to the know the latest radio hit and Emily always laughs at me.

[me at a karaoke bar]
8. Do you like your job?
Fo shizzle. (I hope my boss is reading..)

9. Do you plan any musical instruments?
No but I want to learn!!!! I’m so sad I don’t. I think it’d be a awesome to be a keyboardist.

10. What is your favorite go-to snack food?
Crackers and low fat cottage cheese. I’m not a diet freak I just don’t like milk and prefer any dairy in the diluted low fat form.

11. What is your dream car?

A white Mercedes. B Spears style Ya’ll. What? I told you I loved her already.

Where it all began

I'm sitting in my room at my dad's, pretty much where I began pouring my little life out into this corner of the world wide web. I was so far away from the rest of my family and Matt. I wanted to communicate all things wedding, so I really clung to my lil' blog.

So where have I been? Well I've moved to my mom's since she lives SO close to Matt, and being close has helped cut the wedding stress in half. Literally.

I've been running wedding errands quite frequently, well really they take over my life, but when not doing stuff for the wedding I try to just sit and enjoy myself. We get through wedding tasks rather quickly these days, so really, that is not the main reason I have been blogless.

The real reason I haven't been blogging, is my cute little latina mom lives in the stone age and does have the internet **GASP** nope. I did not have an existential crisis and decide I no longer want to blog, am not having wedding meltdowns of epic proportions, or have not fallen of the earth either. My cute little mommy just doesn't have the internet. hehe.

I miss this lil' hobby of mine, and am constantly thinking about all the things I want to blog about  right before and after wedding... but for now.. my nomad lifestyle precedes me.

Well, my eyes are pretty much closing.  This post was quite the snoozer, but since sleep has been quite illusive these days, I could use some snoozing! I took some drowsy meds so I can actually get a good night of shut eye, so I can wake up and do it all again. I shall return a better rested Tessy.

Good night blog world. AND I have still been stalking all of you. every single one of you.
Be back soon. Love love.

Registering at Macy's is the bomb.com

So the other we went to Macy's to finish registering and get our movie star on!

Ha. totally kidding they really just wanted to ask us a bunch of questions about the registry process on film.. but they went all out putting us in camera ready make up and stuff.

I snapped a few pics of us registering:

He's was focused.

I finally got him to crack a smile - he screamed at me to focus right after..oh married life..lol

Me in an apron!

Yea right I'll never wear one of these.

Then came the make up. My favorite part. These MAC make up artists were hilarious.

He was my favorite. He was griping about some kid stealing his brushes "uh uh gurl oh no he didn't"

Camera ready make up. OOOF.

Then we started with the questions. I don't think we did too good and they said the video may possibly be put on facebook but they didnt seem sure. Whatevs we got a 100 dollars for participating and it was pretty hilarious!

The husband and wife film crew:

And here we are with our consultant pauline! She's the cutest and most helpful registry consultant at Macy's at memorial city mall - so if you're registering any time soon go meet Pauline and getcha some!

I gotta admit I was Team Bed Bath and Beyond but I've been totally converted by Matthew and his mom to Macy's. The rewards you get if you have a Macy's card, the discount family and friends coupons, and the 20% percent days we get to clean off items left on our registry are all fabuloso.

awkard fake smiles..hehehe
Holler atcha girl!

So things are really really busy in work, life, wedding, house etc. I can't wait to blog about something other than the wedding, but that's all I got for now!
Love love.
