A Babymoon question

I know google search pictures are lame, but clearly I've never been here, therefore I can't have a picture.
Babymoon, babymoon. Sigh. Ok, so this is definitely something to be excited about. But being the designated travel planner in the couple can be a little overwhelming sometimes. Not to mention, I’m starting to really think about baby shower dates, paint swatches, nursery, registering, selling my 2-door car and buying a new car. All great stuff no doubt. But ahhh! Good thing I’ve started pinteresting and online browsing this week/weekend, and am finally ready to get to work!

Now back to the babymoon. Matt has requested to stay in the U.S., which pretty much narrows it down to Florida in my mind. BUT. I am wondering if this concern is legitimate, since every babymoon I've ever seen looks super cool and snazzy.

SO Any mom’s or mama’s to be - what do you think? Is leaving to an international destination while pregnant a major no, no?  Or should you take the opportunity to get one last good trip in? Be honest with me! I’ve been dreaming of Punta Cana, but thinking of throwing that one out due to some judgmental stares. I thought baby moons were super legit, but apparently not. Are there any U.S. destinations that I am totally missing??

So, let me know what you think, AND. If you have been to Destin, Florida - I’d love some recommendations!

We went to Cabo San Lucas on ours and loved it!!! Especially y'all being in Houston, you should be able to find a direct flight, it's safe and has great sun plus beaches! Kristen could give you some awesome recs I am sure. :) Florida would be fun too, but considering it might be a while before you do exotic again, I would save your Florida trip for when you go on vacation with the bebe. My opinion write it in pencil!

I hear ya! We decided to skip the baby moon all together in favor of spending more dollars on everything else that piles up with le bebe, but when we were discussing it, I was leaning toward Charleston and Hilton Head. Will REFUSED to leave the country, specifically to Mexico. I wanted to go there though, so if you can convince your hubs, I say squeeze in one last exotic vaca!

We actually went to Sedona for our babymoon, and it was awesome! I say go somewhere that you actually want to go... so if that's Punta Cana - do that! If you're going to leave the country, I'd do it earlier rather than later in the pregnancy. Enjoy it!!! :)

The Hilton in Sandestin is awesome! I am not pregnant yet, but the main reason people stay in the US is in case of medical emergency. If something freak happens to you or the baby, you do not want to be in a Mexican hospital. And you certainly don't want to get Traveler's Sickness which Mexico is known for also ;)
